I am excited to be promoting, practicing, and providing health and wellness in the Eugene area. My personal and professional passion is helping women realize their reproductive health goals. Whether you are grappling with infertility or dealing with postpartum pelvic pain, I have found Chinese medicine and acupuncture to be key therapeutic approaches to resolving both long-standing and acute issues. With regular treatments, better health and vitality can be achieved!

As a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist practicing the medicine that deeply changed my life, it means the world to me that I have the opportunity to help people who are struggling in similar situations. In my practice, I am able to draw from my own experience as well as a strong foundation in traditional Chinese medicine, Western and Chinese herbalism, biomedicine, Zen shiatsu, and of course, acupuncture to help people reach their health goals. My treatment philosophy is to approach each patient as a unique individual and co-create specialized treatment plans based on each person’s unique needs. I work closely with conventional providers, incorporating acupuncture, herbs, shiatsu massage, and nutrition into patients’ treatment plans to ensure they receive the best integrative care possible.

I am committed to providing compassionate, intentional and collaborative care. I see my role not only as an acupuncturist but also as a member of each patient’s health and wellness team. Whether you are experiencing painful symptoms, going through fertility challenges or IVF, or simply looking for support throughout your pregnancy and postpartum journey, my hope is that when you walk into my treatment room you will feel the same sense of warmth and sincerity that I did. Here your story will be heard, and together we can begin to mend your body, mind and soul and help you meet your health goals.

Compassionate and effective care, born from personal experience.

HALEY'S STORY

My journey to acupuncture and Chinese medicine started as many turning points in life do, with a problem I could no longer ignore.

After about a year of regular treatments, diet and lifestyle changes and several courses of Chinese herbal formulas, my cycles were regular for the first time in my life, my ovaries had healed and I had no more painful cysts. I felt healthier than I had ever felt before, and on my belated honeymoon in Thailand I conceived! I continued to get regular acupuncture throughout my pregnancy and into my labor, and I was able to deliver my son naturally at home with the help of my midwives and doula. My acupuncturist was the first person I called when my infant son was colicky or when I had a bout of postpartum depression. That is the beauty of Chinese medicine - it is an ancient whole system of medicine that can be utilized no matter what the health challenge. Once I discovered this, there was no turning back. When my son was two, we moved to Portland so that I could pursue my Master’s in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. There, I earned a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

I had always had irregular cycles and like so many women, had always just assumed that was the way it was. Unfortunately, in my case, I started to develop painful ovarian cysts and was eventually diagnosed with Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS. I was prescribed birth control, which controlled my symptoms, until I was 26 and wanted to start a family. Immediately after getting off of the pill all of my symptoms came flooding back, including a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst that almost cost me my ovary. After many doctor’s visits, I was overwhelmed and discouraged with my lack of progress. In a moment of desperation, I called an acupuncture office near me and made an appointment. I had no idea what I was getting into but I was desperate for advice that didn’t involve removing my ovaries!

When I walked into the acupuncturist office, I was greeted with a warm cup of tea and a sincere smile. After an hour spent with me listening to my story, I lay on the massage table and received my first acupuncture treatment. I instantly felt calm, relaxed and heard. After that first appointment I was hooked. Not only had I found a treatment philosophy that saw me as a unique individual. I found a holistic healing modality that gave my body, mind and soul the space it needed to truly mend.

“I experienced specialized care an with impeccable attention to details of my painful shoulder condition. Haley holds a very grounding and genuine presence. Her confidence and knowledge allowed me to connect to a possibility of a new outcome in my body where previously was just a memory of a chronic constriction and pain. Powerful and unique, truly healing experience”
